Transylvanian pies

In a bowl I mixed the flour with the salt.

I dissolved the yeast with the sugar in warm water.

I made a hole in the middle of the flour and added water with the yeast and sugar.

I started to knead lightly with my hands previously greased with oil for about 5 minutes until I obtained a soft dough that no longer sticks to my hands.

I put the dough to rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes.

In the meantime I prepared filling.

I grated the house and cut the onion into small pieces.

I mixed the 2 ingredients and adjusted the taste with salt. (Only if absolutely necessary)

I divided the leavened dough into 6 approximately equal pieces.

I greased the work table well with oil and I stretched each piece well (Approx. Half a cm)

I put 2 generous tablespoons of filling each and put them back together (like a ball)

I then stretched them again carefully so that they would not break and the filling would not come out.

I heated a pan and greased it with a little oil.

I baked the pies over low to medium heat until they browned nicely on each side.

They are served hot but are just as good and cold.
