I was craving sesame pretzels, fresh and tender. But as I usually find such pretzels only on the Boulevard that leads to the Great Square and today I didn't get to the center, I decided to cook them myself. Coincidentally, I just bought sesame seeds these days and was really wondering what to do with them.

Sesame seeds are made from healthy fats, are rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, are a natural source of protein, are free of cholesterol, contain minerals such as iron, zinc, copper, calcium, magnesium, manganese and also a significant amount of vitamin B and E.

I have never prepared this recipe but I found out pretty quickly how easy it is to prepare wonderful sesame pretzels.

Dough ingredients (for 4 pretzels):

  • 75 ml of lukewarm water
  • 5 gr dry yeast
  • 225 gr flour

  • 25 ml olive oil
  • 50 ml soy milk with vanilla

Method of preparation:

Grease the pretzels with the mixture of soy milk with vanilla and 1 teaspoon of honey or maple syrup, then sprinkle them with plenty of sesame or poppy seeds. My sesame pretzels browned perfectly in just 35 minutes and were delicious.
