Dessert tender croissants with cherry jam

First put the sifted flour in a bowl. Add the egg, lard, yeast dissolved in mineral water, and orange peel and knead a little until a homogeneous dough. The essence is added.

The dough covered with a towel is left to rise for 1 hour in a warm place.

We mix the jam with chopped walnuts, but we can leave it simple. Mine was pretty fluid, I couldn't let it go. Instead of walnuts you can add coconut.

After the dough has risen, spread very thin sheets on the table or on the worktop sprinkled with flour, cut triangles (not very large), and in the wide part of the triangle we put the jam and roll.

Put the croissants formed in the tray lined with baking paper and put in the preheated oven for approx. 20 min. or until they start to brown slightly.

When they are ready, they are given hot by powdered sugar. I got 2 trays of croissants out of this composition.
